Hey, fellow dog people! What are you doing this weekend? We're going to get our photos with the Easter Bunny (!!) and maybe dye a dozen Easter eggs. We already have the egg holders covered, which we designed to be colorful, graphic and a breeze to assemble. Want to join us in dyeing some eggs?
All you'll need is the Easter egg template below, scissors, a stapler and, of course, eggs! We decorated these eggs with tiny custom stickers of Pierogi and Gilly, but you can do your own thing with your eggs! By the way, our printer paper was sturdy enough to hold real eggs, but if you want something even sturdier, choose cardstock.
Here's the holders cut. You'll just need to cut along each solid line and then form each strip into a ring (as if you were making a paper chain) and meet the edges at the dotted line on the left. Then, staple each holder at the top and bottom of where the edges meet.
Easy, right? There's eight different sayings on the holders, but you can print as many as you need. You could also turn these into place cards by writing your Easter guests' names on the eggs.
Here's all of the egg holders! They're inspired by Pierogi and Gilly. I tried to step into their paws (not on!) and imagine what they would say if they were sitting around dyeing eggs. Hah, can you tell which ones are more Pierogi and which ones are more Gilfolye? I imagined Pierogi being a little sarcastic, but Gilly being really enthusiastic about decorating eggs ;) #crazydogmom
And there you have it! Let us know if you end up dyeing eggs. We'd love to see!
Woof! (Hey, there!) Pierogi, Gilly and Sarah here. Thanks for stopping by our dog blog. We're a little dog-obsessed around here and Pierogi & Co. is all about inspiring you to enjoy the dog days. Because life's more fun with your best (furry) friend by your side. So grab a bone and follow along as we stop to sniff the flowers...
