I'm not sure what these are called (candy grams?), but I've always wanted to make one for someone. It's probably the candy that appealed to me. I loveee candy! But as cute as the candy grams are, I set out to make the next cutest thing -- a dog version of a candy gram! Below, we share our ideas for crafting the perfect doggie treat gram...
We think a Doggie Treat Gram would be a great gift for a new dog parent (plus, it's a fun way for a pup to try a bunch of different things), so that's what inspired our actual message on the board. Feel free to copy what we did here, or come up with your own version. Here's the message...
Congrats on the new dog! You're going to be the best dog mama/dad! Having a dog is one of the best things in the world because dogs have hearts of solid gold. It's their first instinct...
...to love you to the core. Sometimes, puppies can act a little wild. They get the ziggies and zaggies and zoomies, and...
...chew on things that they shouldn't. But, when they offer fresh kisses, their cute wet noses, or their favorite bone, you can't help but forgive their mischief (excuse my misspelling :) ! So, here's to you and your new doggie! May your days be filled with treats, cuddles, adventures across the country, and lots and lots of love! XO, Your Pals
As for the assembly, if you model our example, you'll need at least a 16" x 20 poster (or similar) board to mount everything. Plan out your design, then secure all parts in place. To secure the treats, especially the heavier items like the Solid Gold tub, we recommend using a super strength mounting tape. As for the notes, we preferred the handwritten look, but you could also print each segment. To help with the "reading flow", we added little strips of washi tape (we used the adorable tape from this post) to connect each item. Finally, to stress specific words on treat packaging, we cut out little sticker boxes (see them in yellow?)
Oh, and the leash! We thought the leash was a cute finishing touch and used the mounting tape to attach that, too.
