Bane, the German Rottweiler, is wrapping up our week of Valentine's Day posts! Here he is looking handsome in his winter coat, but he's more than a cute face. His dog mama describes him as quite the sweetheart and says that he loves everything and everyone...
Where does your family call home?
We are a small family, living in rural Maine. It's my boyfriend and I, Bane, Neesha (a three year old Black Lab-Pit mix) and our Lynx-Point Siamese kitty named Rico. The three of them get along fabulously. We have a great trail behind our house that goes down to a river. We love to go for long walks in the woods and to a field where we play with our Chuckit!
What's Bane's personality like?
Bane is quite a sweetheart. He loves everything and everyone! I used to work on a horse farm and he came with me every day. He was an excellent barn dog. He loved being around the horses and ponies, but he was especially fond of a mini-donkey! Bane's sister, Neesha, is also sweet like him. She's silly and cuddly and BEST buds with Rico. They play together every day.
How did you choose Bane's name?
I got Bane as a three month old puppy and worked on his name for a couple weeks after. He was the cutest little bear cub, but I knew that he would grow to be a big majestic beast. I wanted to make sure that his name would suit him as he grew into it. 100 pounds later, Bane does him justice! He is a big boob though, personality wise, so his nicknames are appropriate too!
Hah! Any nicknames besides Boob?
Boob, Boo Boo, Bean and Beanie
Thanks so much @bane_rottweiler! Tell your donkey pal that we say hi!
