Months ago, at Gilly's "new puppy exam", I bought a yearly supply of both heartworm and flea medicine for him; and since we were there - I also bought enough for Pierogi. Coincidentally, Pierogi's annual exam fell a few weeks later and Mike did the same thing - he bought a round of medicine for both of our pups...
Oops! When we each came home from our respective vet appointments, we threw everything in our makeshift "doggie medicine cabinet" in our kitchen, and of course, it all became jumbled! We just realized our mistake and sorted through all the doses. But, instead of shoving all the different boxes back in the cabinet, I decided to organize everything into a clear container that's compact, but holds everything for both dogs.
I separated all of the doses, for both boys, and split them between the compartments. We found our container from this store.
Here's the little tracker that we designed. We tried to make it neat, straightforward and as handy as possible. One tracker sheet can be used for multiple dogs, assuming that they're on the same schedule. So, every month, after you dole out your dog's medicine, simply write in the date and make any mark (or marks for multiple dogs), like a check mark, paw print or your dog's initial, under each medicine column. We also included an "Other" column, in case there's something else that your dog receives.
Much better, right? :)
Woof! (Hey, there!) Pierogi, Gilly and Sarah here. Thanks for stopping by our dog blog. We're a little dog-obsessed around here and Pierogi & Co. is all about inspiring you to enjoy the dog days.
