Father's Day is under two weeks away, so today, we're sharing an easy Dog Father's Day gift idea. The gift combines something for dad and something for his best (dog) friend to enjoy together. Press play and then keep reading below...
This gift idea is so simple! Start by grabbing a gift card from your guy's favorite restaurant. Maybe that joint is the taco food truck that sets up in front of his office every Tuesday or your favorite Chicago style pizza place in your old neighborhood. Or, has he been talking up any place new? You could also create a homemade voucher (you know, "This voucher is good for one dinner with me at 'X' place") if you plan to dine together.
Next, find a dog toy that represents that restaurant well! Here's our taco and pizza toys. The cute foodie toy line also includes a sushi roll, french fries and a t-bone steak. Then, package the toy in a way similar to how the human version might be presented. We placed our taco in classic plastic food basket and our pizza on a simple plastic plate (we also love this style, which made us of think of New York City pizza slices :), along with a parchment paper to complete the look.
Finally, tuck in the restaurant gift card, add a pretty bow and attach our tag! The tag reads, "To the world's Best Dog Dad, Enjoy your next (insert food) with (insert doggie)!", which you can download below. How would you style your gift? What restaurants do you love? Any with dog friendly patios?
Woof! (Hey, there!) Pierogi, Gilly and Sarah here. Thanks for stopping by our dog blog. We're a little dog-obsessed around here and Pierogi & Co. is all about inspiring you to enjoy the dog days. Because life's more fun with your best (furry) friend by your side. So grab a bone and follow along as we stop to sniff the flowers...
